Dilly Babu (1989)

Ahh... I. Am confused. I like Pandiarajan. I do. I just wish he didn't make such dirty, sexist jokes. I can't imagine how things must've been in the 80's and 90's for people to find jokes like that funny.
But, unfortunately, the movie can be quite funny. Pandirajan can be witty when his brain(shockingly enough) gets electrocuted out of the blue and makes all smart-alecky retorts. And I'm seriously beginning to like Sita. She's pretty good looking. But I do hate it when she plays roles like the one she did in that sad Visu movie about daughters- and mothers-in-law. #ForFucksSake.

Dilly Babu - entertainment enough at 7/10.

Rettai Vaal Kuruvi (1987)

Don't watch. No self-respecting human being who knows anything about the story would. Now that I've actually watched the entire movie, I'm pretty sure I've lost a few IQ points.

I cannot believe Balu Mahendra is supposed to be one of Tamil Nadu's celebrated directors. What the fuck was wrong with him.. What's much worse is that people praised him and his work. What was wrong with them!

Rettai Vaal Kuruvi = Concentrated garbage.

Also, non-ID'able actress alert! Who's the woman who played Mohan's first wife? If you find out, let me know.

Varusham 16 (1989)

Stupid  movie.

The only good thing was Vijay Menon aka Vairamoorthy's acting.

Chidambara Ragasiyam (1985)

Another Visu movie. It was entertainment enough. This happened to star another one of those actresses that are untraceable. Who the hell is that woman in the item number..

Also, Arun Pandiyan! Woot. And Ilavarasi too.

Visu was pretty funny in that fight scene with his bike. :/

Delhi Ganesh was also pretty good in his role as the Black Cat. The computerized music/mewing that played whenever Black Cat was hatching a devious scheme was pretty good(read funny).

7.5/10

Pondatti Sonna Kettukkanum (1991)

Goundamani is just plain offensive.
Poor Manorama, reduced to playing such filthy roles.
The rest aren't even worth mentioning. It is literally beneath me to do so.
Thank you for 3 hours of  head-throbbing nonsense.

Another actor who I couldn't ID - Suresh, Goundamani's last son. Who are these people?

- 2 million/10

Ellamae En Rasathan (1995)

Better than that dump of crap, Aranmanai Kili. But it starts out really lame. All the middle stuff is tolerable. Raj Kiran's wife does okay. All that stuff is entertaining enough in a 90's sort of way. As in it's excusable. :/ I do wish Raj Kiran hadn't randomly blurted out English words. :/ What's up with that weird nalla karuthu that he rattles off at the panchayat. Big time whatever! But the movie does has tolerable comedy. Also, his daughter's acting was good for a girl so young. I liked the way he talks to her at the beginning of the movie.

Anyway. This one gets whatever Aranmanai Kili got plus 0.00000000001 out of 10.

Hoorah.

Aranmanai Kili (1993)

Holy fuck! Raj Kiran movie marathon going on here.

This was pretty much trash. Some serious bad acting by that woman who Raj Kiran rescues. I'm pretty sure she must've made some low-budget porn movies. But I liked the woman who RK ended up marrying. She acted better than the rest of the cast.

What's up with the guy who plays the pannaiyaar! He's in every movie that Raj Kiran's in. And in the same role.
Ummm.. This is hard. I'd say... 5/10.

En Rasavin Manasilae (1991)

I am currently in denial over my new found respect for Raj Kiran. I cannot believe I liked the movie. It was good. The actors were authentic in their portrayal of their characters. The language used was beautiful; the accent was what made it a success, I believe. And people acted well! Even Raj Kiran! And Meena! She was pretty good as the scared girl who was unfortunate enough to end up with Mayandi. And who the hell is the guy who plays Murugesan?! He's going on my list of actors and actresses who I cannot identify and are untraceable. :/ His acting was also really good.

I loved the music! It was beautiful. Especially that song after Mayandi rapes Solayamma. Here's Pen Manasu Azhamendru -

Apologies for shocking you with Raj Kiran's face. Trust me, I had a far worse time watching him eat..  Those legs. *shudder*

Also, here's Kuyil Paatu -

Downsides of the movie being Srividhya's annoying grandmother role.
But surprise surprise, Raj Kiran was pretty good as Mayanadi.

I'm never getting over this.
